The launch comes after Svenska Spel last month also linked up with France’s Pari-Mutuel Urbain to launch a new horse racing betting service. Svenska Spel allows customers to wager on horse racing events from around the world – though the roll-out has attracted criticism from the coutnry’s former horse racing monopoly AB Trav och Galopp.

The agreement also follows a successful first half of the year for NetEnt, which saw total revenue for the period increase by 30.2% year-on-year to SEK1.09bn (£94.6m/€104.3m/$122.1m).

However, increased spending during the first half saw NetEnt’s profit fall 29.0% to SEK170.4m.
